Mi desafio anterior.
The Devouring, Simon Holt.
The Devouring, Simon Holt.
The Vours was the most horrific creatures I've ever met. I think I'll read someday the next book. I'm still intriguin.
So, this week I finished Clockwork prince. I think I have a frozen heart, 'cause I don't think it was a wonderful as the people say. I loved, of course! but I don't think it's the best.
Me encanto, es realmente terrorifico! Lo disfrute de principio a fin con los misterios que los Vours eran para mi. Aunque creo que pudo mejorar en algunos aspectos, no fue una decepcion.
El libro que me comprometo a leer.
Firespell, Chloe Neil.
This book is one of the oldest I have on my shelf. I've heard some good critics about it, and I really like the summary.
Creo que este libro es bueno. Me gusta mucho la sinopsis, y creo que podria disfrutarlo realmente.Esta en mis lista de lectura desde hace mucho tiempo.
Summary.
When Lily's guardians decided to send her away to a fancy boarding school in Chicago, she was shocked. So was St. Sophia's. Lily's ultra-rich brat pack classmates think Lily should be the punchline to every joke, and on top of that, she's hearing strange noises and seeing bizarre things in the shadows of the creepy building. The only thing keeping her sane is her roommate, Scout, but even Scout's a little weird - she keeps disappearing late at night and won't tell Lily where she's been. Scout's a member of a splinter group of rebel teens with unique magical talents, who've sworn to protect the city against demons, vampires, and Reapers, magic users who've been corrupted by their power. And when Lily finds herself in the line of a firespell, Scout tells her the truth about her secret life, even though Lily has no powers of her own - at least, none that she's discovered yet...
PS: I made a terrible mistake and I deleted my last TBR post.

Hmmm... The Devouring sounds interesting... shocking and horrific? I like the sound of that. I'm sorry you didn't love The Clockwork Prince. I loved it, but it's not for everyone :)
ResponderEliminarFirespell sounds intriguing. :) Good luck with it this week!
Lis, sorry about your last post being deleted (well, what happened? LOL. You never fail to make me *GRIN*. You are always funny but in a very nice way. =)
ResponderEliminarAnyway, I'm still reading Clockwork Prince. You know, I hate it when I get disappointed because of the *too much hype* I've heard about CP. I so loved Cassie's books and Infernal Devices is one of my favorite. But yeah, I think I have to agree with you, CP isn't the best among the two ID books. I love CLockwork ANgel so much that when I started reading it, I got hooked immediately. I don't know what's happening with me when I read CP. I'm still on the first few chapters but it seems that I can't get into it completely as what I expected. I hope it gets better for me soon, because I don't want to be totally disappointed in the end. I guess, all the hype and the ravings has something to do with my mood about this book. I am really sad that after my excitement and high expectations, this is what I got :( But one thing I realized... I'm loving JEM so much... I still love Will, and nothing has changed, but I'm feeling drawn to JEM (just like Tessa) here in Clockwork Prince. =)
P.S. I read your post in FB. Sorry I wasn't able to reply there. THANK YOU for your card =) Don't worry about the possibility of it to come here late. It doesn't matter when, because I appreciate it even more than you can think of. I know that I'm going to love your card because you made it and it means a lot to me =) Thank you for thinking of me and for being a very nice friend to me. When I think myself as a character in a book (yeah, I think of that sometimes), I imagine having you as the kind of best friend I want to be there with me. Funny, kind, selfless, loyal and someone who will back me up anytime I need it =) Thanks Lis! xoxo.
Oh, thanks April!
ResponderEliminarYou are amazing!!!!!
